Woodlawn seeks to guide children towards the path of grace and truth.

 

In 3 John 1:4, an elderly apostle John wrote to a younger man by the name of Gaius.  John says, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth."  John is encouraged by the way Gaius continues to live out God's truth.  

 

Our prayer at Woodlawn is that each and every child who comes through our doors will experience the love of Christ and one day choose to follow Him.  Through a variety of children's programming, children ages birth to 5th grade can learn about God's love in a safe, nurturing, and creative environment.

 

All volunteers are trained and have background checks performed before working with any child. Woodlawn also uses a Check-In System to create a secure environment for our children.

Sunday Morning

When you arrive, please go to the WCC Kids Check-In counter in the main lobby. Someone will assist you with the check in process.  All children must be checked in to attend classes.

Nursery

A volunteer-run nursery is available for children from birth to 23 months and their parents.  It is open during both services.

Preschool

Preschoolers (ages 2 years old-5 years old) have a structured time of play and a Bible lesson. They meet for this time during both services.

WCC Kids

Kindergarden - 5th Grade

9:30am-10:30am

Kindergarten-5th grade Combined Sunday School Class

​

During this hour children will meet for a deep look into the Bible and other topics, all through an interactive, structured lesson.

​

11:00am-12:00pm

Kindergarten-5th grade Children's Church

 

During this hour children will meet for the main Bible lesson, worship, communion, etc.

OTHER SPIRITUAL AND SOCIAL ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

  • 180 Class (3rd-5th grade; offered once a year)- a 6-week long class all about the topic of becoming a Christian and baptism

  • SuperStart! (4th and 5th grade)
