For more than 25 years, Emerald Youth Foundation has been working to support Knoxville’s youth and prepare generations of Godly community leaders. Our driving vision is to make Knoxville a city where EVERY CHILD IN EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD has the opportunity to lead a full life.
Vision
Our vision for the JustLead program at Woodlawn is to focus ministry efforts on South Knoxville children and their families by developing and supporting a student in three areas of life: Faith, Learning, and Health. We believe that we will be able to permanently changes lives and develop strong Godly leaders in South Knoxville.
Middle School
Our Middle School after school program is 3:30pm - 6:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at Woodlawn Christian Church.
Transportation from SDMS is offered.

Fee: $45 per semester
Elementary
Our Elementary after school program is 2:30pm - 4:30pm Monday - Friday at Woodlawn Christian Church. Transportation is offered from Dogwood, Mooreland Heights, and Mt. Olive schools.

Fee: $65 per semester
High School
Our High School after school program is 3:30pm - 6:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at Woodlawn Christian Church.
Transportation from SDHS is offered. On Fridays our High school students will go on field trips to different locations each week

Madi Poindexter
Madi is the Emerald Youth Foundation Middle School and High School Coordinator at Woodlawn. Raised in South Knoxville, Madi has been working with this program since May of 2019 when she graduated from Johnson University. Madi is now a mother and lives with her husband and son in South Knoxville. If Madi were a Disney Princess she would be Rapunzel from Tangled, making every day the "best day ever".
Taylor Ellis
Taylor is the Emerald Youth Foundation Elementary Coordinator at Woodlawn Christian Church. She became part of the Woodlawn JustLead Elementary Team in April of 2022, and serves Dogwood, and Mooreland Heights. Schools. Taylor grew up in South Knoxville and spends every chance she gets outside with family and friends. Her favorite place to be is in her hammock in the mountains.
